OFFICIAL RULES
1. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
The Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. “$10 K GIVE - A – WAY” (aka the “Sweepstakes”) commences at 9:00 a.m. October 1st , 2011 and ends at 5:00p.m. April 30, 2012 (aka the “Sweepstakes Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY
How to earn eligible entries into the Sweepstakes:
(i)During the Sweepstakes Period, one entry into the Sweepstakes will be given to each applicant(s) that successfully funds a mortgage with any eligible member of the Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. Team (aka “the Aegis Team”).
The only eligible Aegis Team members are specified here, and are subject to change at the sole discretion of Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd.:

(ii) During the Sweepstakes Period, one entry into the Sweepstakes will be given to those who have referred a client to an eligible member of Aegis Team so long as the referred client(s) successfully funds a mortgage with the Aegis Team during the Sweepstakes Period.
(iii) During the Sweepstakes Period, one entry into the Sweepstakes will be given to each applicant that uses the services of the Aegis Team’s business associates in conjunction with funding a mortgage with the Aegis Team. The only business associates that you will receive an eligible entry for are listed here:
Realtor – Merilee McCaffery, Sutton Group Seafair Realty
Financial Planner – Derek Lacroix, Investors Group
Notary – Michael Lebeau, Notary Public
This Sweepstakes is open to (i) all persons legally allowed to own Real Estate in British Columbia, except employees, agents and representatives of Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. (aka “DLC Aegis”), its subsidiaries and affiliates of DLC Aegis, and its advertising and promotion agencies and their affiliated companies and subsidiaries; (ii) all legal residents of British Columbia who are of the age of majority and reside in British Columbia at the time of entry, except employees, agents and representatives of DLC Aegis, its subsidiaries and affiliates, its advertising and promotion agencies and their affiliated companies and subsidiaries, and members of their families or persons with whom they are domiciled.
3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
(i) Submit a bona fide mortgage application through the Aegis Team. Provided your mortgage application has been approved by any and all appropriate lenders, creditors , insurers ,and all other parties – and subsequently funds during the Sweepstakes Period, you will be allotted one entry into the Sweepstakes.
(ii) Refer a friend, family member, co-worker, or any other person to a member of the Aegis Team, and they fund a bona fide mortgage during the Sweepstakes Period, you will be allotted one entry into the Sweepstakes. No entries will be awarded for referrals until such time that the mortgage is funded. Pre-approval and rate holds do not count as funded mortgages.
(iii) Use any of the eligible Aegis Team business associates during the Sweepstakes period, and you will be allotted one entry into the Sweepstakes under the following conditions only:
(a) Realtor:
For any realtor that is used during the Sweepstakes Period, they must be used in conjunction with a purchase and mortgage, no entries will be given for using a realtor for the sale of a property.
(b) Financial Planner:
For any financial planner that is used during the Sweepstakes period, a minimum of $25,000 in investments or insurance must be set up through the eligible financial planner to be allotted one entry into the Sweepstakes.
(c) Notary/Lawyer:
For any notary that is used during the Sweepstakes Period, their services must be used in conjunction with the arranging of a purchase or refinance only. No entry into the Sweepstakes will be given for using the service of a notary/lawyer for a switch, transfer, port, or sale of a property.
(iv) No entry will be generated for the funding of a commercial mortgage, Home Equity Line of Credit, Collateral Charge, Bridge Financing or Mortgage with a funding value of less than $100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Dollars) or an increase and blend amount of not less than $100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Dollars) onto their current mortgage. Only one entry per eligible mortgage will be generated in the names of all the mortgagors and referral partners.
4. GRAND PRIZE
At the end of the Sweepstakes Period (April 30, 2012) one grand prize of $10,000.00 Cash (in Canadian Funds) will be paid out to the winner of the random draw. The Grand Prize will be paid directly to the winner in the form of a cheque, and only upon proof of photo Identification consisting of either a valid BC Drivers License or valid Canadian Passport. Actual odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.
5. SWEEPSTAKES DRAW DATE
The winner will be chosen by way of a random selection draw, to be held at a place of choosing by the Aegis Team. The Sweepstakes run from October 4, 2011 until April 30, 2012. On or about the 15th of May, 2012 (the “Draw Date”), the Aegis Team will announce the place of the draw and choosing of the specified time of draw.
6. PRIZE AWARDING
Prizes will be awarded only upon winner verification and final approval by the Aegis Team. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and no substitution, transfer, conversion or assignment of prizes will be allowed, unless at the discretion of Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd., which may substitute a prize of comparable or greater value. The cash prize will be awarded via cheque made out in the name of the winner drawn at random. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants. Attempts will be made to contact the winning entrant at the telephone number and/or mailing address listed on the Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. application, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for a period of ten (10) working days following the Draw Date. If a selected entrant(s) cannot be contacted within the allotted time, Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. reserves the right to void that entry and select another eligible entrant for that prize. The selected entrants will be required to complete, sign and return a Declaration and Release Form within seven (7) days of delivery. If a selected entrant(s) fails to complete, sign and return the Declaration and Release Form to the Aegis team within seven (7) days Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd., reserves the right to void that entry and select another eligible entrant for that Prize. By completing, signing and returning the Declaration and Release Form, the entrant(s) (i) confirms compliance with these Sweepstakes Rules and Regulations, (ii) releases and forever discharges Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd., its affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies from all claims, demands, damages, actions and causes of action arising or to arise by reason of the acceptance or use of the Prize, and (iii) gives permission to Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd., at its option, to publish or otherwise use the entrant’s name, address, photograph, video, voice and comments, without compensation, in any publicity carried out by Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. or its advertising agencies. Prizes will be sent to the official winners within 10 days after receipt of the signed and fully completed Declaration and Release Form.
7. SWEEPSTAKES GENERAL RULES: By entering the “Dominion Lending Centres $10 K GIVE – A - WAY Sweepstakes,” (aka the Sweepstakes) entrants agree to abide by these Sweepstakes Rules and Regulations and the decisions of Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd., which are final. Eligible entries into the Sweepstakes may be used to compile a contact listing. This listing may be used by Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. to contact individuals, via telephone and/or mail, to discuss and/or promote financial, real estate and Insurance services. Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. shall in no way bear any liability whatsoever regarding any of the prizes. Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. will not be responsible for late, lost, invalid, illegible, delayed, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, or postage due entries. All entries become the property of Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. and will not be returned.
8. WINNERS LIST: The official winner in the Dominion Lending Centres $10K GIVE – A - WAY will be available at our website at www.joinaegis.ca by June 1, 2012.
9. DISQUALIFICATION: Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes, as determined by Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. will be disqualified. In the event any portion of this Sweepstakes is compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd., which, in the sole opinion of Team Aegis, corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper entry into the Sweepstakes, Dominion Lending Centres Aegis Mortgage Services Ltd. reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes.
10. TAX INFORMATION: All applicable governmental taxes, if any, on prizes won are the sole responsibility of the winner of such prize.
11. REST OF CANADA: This Sweepstakes is for residents of the province of British Columbia only. Any litigation must be commenced in the City of Richmond, BC.
12. APPLICABLE LAWS: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
